The Mars Society is pleased to announce that its virtual experience for the 24th Annual International Mars Society Convention, scheduled for October 14-17, 2021, is now available for all attendees. The International Mars Society Convention presents a unique opportunity for those interested in the planet Mars to come together and discuss the science, technology, social implications, philosophy, and a multitude of other aspects of Mars exploration.
Powered by the Attendify software that was used last year, this virtual experience allows attendees to access the over 150 sessions from a computer or mobile phone without installing any special software. For those who wish to directly participate in the Zoom calls and webinars, there are easy links within the application to join and ask questions live or via the Q&A and Chat panels within Zoom.
Our sessions will also be live streamed across YouTube and all of the Mars Society’s social media platforms beginning on the morning of Thursday, October 14th at 9:00 am PT, through the end of the convention on the late afternoon of Sunday, October 17th PT.
To access the virtual experience, the first step is to register online. Registration can be done now and for the duration of the four-day event by visiting www.marssociety.org and clicking “Registration”. While the convention is free this year, a $50 donation is recommended to support the organization’s mission and programs. There is a direct link to the donation form within the conference application.
After registering, please visit our virtual experience at http://convention.marssociety.org and use the code “TakingFlight” (all one phase, no space, and without the quote marks) and use the email you registered with to login to the experience. If you require assistance accessing the experience, please email convention-staff@marssociety.org and someone will get back to you.
Thanks, and enjoy this week’s great Mars experience!
