The 2025 International Mars Society Convention invites presentations addressing all aspects of Mars exploration and settlement. We welcome proposals covering topics such as science, technology, engineering, politics, economics, public policy, space advocacy, international cooperation, and more.

If you are interested in sharing your insights during the three-day event (October 9-11 at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles), please submit an abstract of 150-300 words via our Mars Society abstract page by Friday, June 27th at 5:00 pm MT for consideration.
The 2025 International Mars Society Convention marks its 28th year as the leading global conference on Mars exploration and space innovation. With the U.S. government focusing on a near-term human mission to Mars, the convention’s theme “Mars: The Time has Come” aligns perfectly with the shifting priorities in space exploration.
Attendees—from scientists and engineers to policymakers and space advocates—will experience dynamic panel discussions, engaging presentations and debates, and interactive sessions, including a live demo of MarsVR, a groundbreaking virtual reality platform that aims to democratize space exploration.
The event will be accessible both in-person and virtually, enabling real-time discussions, Q&A sessions, and networking opportunities, with online registration open and special tickets available for the Saturday evening banquet.
