Commander's Report

April 19, 2008

Henrik Hargitai

After a late wake up, EVA-11 went to Kissing Camel Range with several
plans but had to be cut short because of unusually strong winds.
At the
hab, microscopic observations were made of concretions and lichens and
3D anaglyph images were created using the days images. In the afternoon
in EVA-12 we planned to revisit sites visited by crew 42 in 2006 and
take pictures for change detection. We believe we found the site but it
changed considerably. Analysis later. The generator had similar
problems as before yesterday but was solved successfully using the
technique learned from local mission support. EVA-12 was a sunset EVA
which had a beautiful sunset and moon-rise EVA closing the day.
