Commander's Report
Emily Colvin Reporting
My poor crew was left to the mercy of my directional sense this afternoon. Which means, in layman's terms, we got lost. I actually wasn't lost, I just wasn't sure if it was the branch I wanted to take or not. But it's reminded me of the fact that I do much better when I program in a route and navigate via GPS. So we'll do that next time, rather than listen to me try to describe the map over radio and figure out where we are and where we're going.
We also further explored the fact that the suits really don't fit small people. We tried to get the suits (well, really the problems were from the PLSSs) adjusted so that no one was getting stabbed, rubbed, bruised, or bumped by the suits. We weren't really successful, but we did manage to lose an hour and a half to suit adjustment. I'm kind of disappointed that we didn't manage to actually get good fits. Also, my shoulders and neck are also disappointed, and I think everyone else feels the same. One day, things will fit me. I just have to figure out how to convince my body to grow a bit more...genetics just doesn't work in my favor. But everyone's been great about working with us. Even if the guys like to tease us about it. It's not our fault we're small and oddly shaped.
